Our Mission

 

United by our mutual Christian faith, redeemed by the Grace of God, and led by the Holy Spirit, the members of this church join together with a common purpose and mission to carry out the will and work of God. This purpose and mission arises out of our understandings of the doctrines and teachings of the Bible. Recognizing the Bible as the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God, we accept it as our only rule of faith and practice. We declare our purpose and mission as follows:

 

We will live for the glory of God

so that all people may become intimate followers of the Son of God.

 

 

Church Covenant

As we trust we have by Divine grace been brought to receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, and by the influences of His Spirit to surrender our lives to Him; so we do now solemnly covenant with each other (as God shall enable us) to graciously strive to do the following:

A.        I will honor the Word of God:

by opening my heart to the Spirit’s work through the preaching of God’s Word,

by personal and public study of God’s Word,

by daily surrender of every area of my life to the truth of God’s Word as I share it evangelistically with others.

B.         I will develop authentic relationships with members of my church family:

by praying for and serving my church family,

            by acting in love toward all people, especially those who are a part of the family of faith,

            by my willingness to be transparent and trusting as I grow in Christ.

C.        I will live a life that sacrificially honors God:

            by supporting my church financially,

            by using my spiritual gifts in the ministry and mission work of our church,

            by abiding in Christ.

D.        I will engage in both the private and corporate worship of God:

            by knowing God through Scripture,

            by my presence and participation in corporate worship,

            by focusing on the celebration of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit during times of worship.
